Golden Dawn & Christian Groups Blast Gay Film About Jesus And The Apostles (VIDEOS)

Members of Golden Dawn and radical Christian groups are presently staging protests against the premiere of Terrence McNally’s controversial "passion" play Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi is a passion play dramatizing the story of Jesus and the Apostles. It was apparently written in 1997 and first staged in New York in 1998. From what we read it depicts Jesus and the Apostles as gay men living in modern-day Texas and uses modern devices like television with anachronisms like Roman occupation. In this movie, Judas betrays Jesus because of sexual jealousy and Jesus administers gay marriage between two apostles.

Obviously an insulting to Christians film.

That is why the play was cancelled on Thursday night because of strong protests by members of the Golden Dawn party and various Christian groups.

Manolis V, a journalist, was actually attacked by a few protesters. He is now claiming that he is afraid to go to the police and file a lawsuit, because he doesn’t want them to have his name and address on record.

The Greek Orthodox church, has yet to make a statement about the incidences, and the movie.

(Giati arage?)

Greece is being hit by all sides and from people who are now touching on our religion.

Golden Dawn has refused to apologise for their actions and its spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris even handed out warnings saying that the religious sentiment of Greeks was being insulted. “If someone tries to stage a play making fun of Muhammad in a Muslim country, he will lose his head. They won’t react peacefully as Greeks do.”

(We agree)

HERE ARE THE PROGRESSIVE LEFTISTS WHO ACTUALLY ATTENDED THIS FILM.
