SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras launched an all-out attack on the government of Friday saying that he wished Greece “had become Argentina”. Tsipras made the remarks when asking a parliamentary question while Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was expected to answer a question about a proposed privatization of the Hellenic Postbank. Samaras did not participate in the session, due to other obligations, he was replaced by Minister of Finance Yiannos Stournaras. Tsipras said that even though the government has said Greece has not become Argentina. he wished that we had. "Argentina went through huge difficulties and its citizens were able to stand with dignity."
