Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Tuesday finally put an end to the posts of general secretariats and salaried committee memberships that were at several ministries. A statement issued by the prime minister's press office underlined that special secretariats deemed necessary will continue to operate, after being completely overhauled. Samara's order will not apply to special secretariats, like the financial crimes squad SDOE, whose operation cannot be interrupted.
