Alexia Kefalas, an Athens correspondent for France's “Le Figaro” newspaper and “France 24″ said recently that the Golden Dawn party successfully “cleaned” specific Athenian neighborhoods from a lot of crime. In a television discussion, the reporter said that many neighborhoods in Athens were unsafe for the elderly to live and crime was so high that this group of people were afraid to leave their homes, but because of the Golden Dawn party many of these areas have now cleaned up and people are now returning to the squares and the playgrounds. Dumbfounded, another reporter asked her if the (Golden Dawn) played a social role and were more effective than the police and she indrectly replied yes. She said that the Golden Dawn party not only cleaned up these neighborhoods, but when someone falls victim to a crime, etc, or his/her building is swarmed by illegal immigrants.he/she no longer calls the police, they instead call the Golden Dawn oarty. "They not only clean the apartment from illegal immigrants, but they also repaint it and change the lock."
