Not one, not two, not three but 26 police officers have apparently been appointed by the state to guard leader of the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) Alexis Tsipras. This is kind of ironic if one thinks about it since most members of SYRIZA maintain that Tsipras has only 2 bodyguards and most importantly that if he wins the national elections on Sunday that he will disarm the Greek police force.

With over one million guns in Greece, robberies being conducted by bandits with Kalashnikov guns, armed assaults being reported everywhere and other types of hard crimes, can we really afford to disarm the police?

Editor's Note - Also, it is simple to criticize your political opponents and declare that the police should be patrolling the streets and not be employed to guard government officials Mr. Tsipra... , which incidentally is the right thing to do.. but if you want this to be credible then you should first practice what you preach.
