2.5 years of PASOK = To 70,000 More Public Sector Workers

When the government of PASOK was in power it might of cut pensions, slashed wages some benefits of some public sector workers, as well as totally destroy the private sector, but it also did the incredible, instead of decreasing the public sector and state expenses it hired an even further 70,000 people!

The EU-IMF Memorandum clearly states that the Greek government needed to cut down on the amount of public sector workers it has, but when it comes to PASOK and its hire-for-vote system, its just tuff trying to teach the old socialist dog new tricks.

As a result, Greece breached the rules of its EU-IMF loan agreement and undermined efforts to reduce the state payroll, a report in the TO VIMA newspaper said on Sunday. The article said that the hirings occurred during the period 2010-2011 and concerned the areas of local administration, health, the police and culture sectors.
