Greek Museums Candidates for European Museum Year Award

Two Greek museums, the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum and the Ioannina Archaeological museum are apparently among the 47 European museums that are candidates for the European Museum Year Award. The official announcement of the candidacies is set to be presented at the European Museum Forum that is scheduled to be held between May 16-19, 2012, at the Municipal Museum of Penafiel in Portugal.

The European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA), established in 1977, is presented each year by the European Museum Forum (EMF), under auspicies of the Council of Europe.
