During a news broadcast on Friday, extreme leftists attacked a television news broadcaster with eggs and yogurt that at one point became so intense that it almost destroyed the props, and all this LIVE. The anarchists were angry because the broadcaster had hosted an an interview with the representative of a Greek extreme rightist party called "Golden Dawn" (Chrysi Avgi) a week earlier.Golden Dawn ceased political operations in 2005, and it was absorbed by the Patriotic Alliance, which ceased operations after Michaloliakos withdrew support. In March 2007, Golden Dawn held its sixth congress, where Party officials announced the resumption of their political activism. At local elections on November 7, 2010 Golden Dawn got 5.3% of the vote in the municipality of Athens, winning a seat at the City Council. In some neighborhoods with big immigrant communities (such as Agios Panteleimonas in central Athens) it even reached 20%, and what's more, they are expected to enter parliament in the upcoming elections. On the other hand, anarchists in Greece have emerged from occasionally overlapping but are mostly from the far-left wing. We often see them clashing with riot police in every Greek protest to date. These two groups have always been at odds with each other and are sworn enemies, and whenever they meet... they usually clash. Poor broadcaster....
