NEW SUBMARINE SCANDAL In The Works Starring E.Venizelos

Two documents that were recently exposed only prove the theory that PASOK is and will always be the political force that made shady dealings a religion! New information was revealed concerning recent defense systems contracts. The documents that concern the deal surrounding the purchase of the Type 214 submarines is more than scandalous, it is totally shocking and it touches all the governments that have ruled this country since 1998 and is not just about Akis Tsochatzopoulos who is now in Korydallos prison with charges of money laundering! To be more exact... it literally strangles the governments of PASOK under Costas Simitis as well as George Papandreou, and at the same time raises some serious questions about the responsibility and sudden "indifference" on this subject by the current leader of the socialists Evangelos Venizelos!

Before we begin analyzing the documents, it should be noted that the submarines are not being criticized for their capability and/or quality but rather for their mysterious price tag. Another thing that should be not overlooked -but rather taken very seriously- is the responsibility of Evangelos Venizelos, who endorsed these contracts and then took them to Parliament where they were ratified by his PASOK party and the party of LAOS under "Mr. Kolotoumbas - or Mr. Flip-Flop" himself George Karatzaferis', also known as PASOK's biggest advocate and Costas Karamanlis' biggest critic.

According to the military news site defencenet (which published this shocking story) the documents prove how little Greek citizens know and understand defense systems contracts and how opportunists use these transactions that concern billions of euros (and that allow these billions to change hands) to then create debt at the expense of the Greek people.

It also proves how our leaders -especially of the socialist sort- mishandle (d) funds -or rather how they loot (ed) the state - since they are the genuine documents concerning the TKMS which show that we were being offered two brand new Type 209 submarines with the upgrade of the Neptune II program.

So here is the scandal: Seven months after the offer, says defencenet,  these same submarines were paid with 515 million euros in cash plus 250 million euros in other additional costs by the Greek state!

(The offer concerned two new Type 209/1400 submarines, or the same type received by South Africa, but with an AIP system).

In a nut shell: Greece was offered two free submarines for upgrading a contract, instead of modernizing another ongoing program but the State at the time opted to pay almost three quarters of a billion euros following the signatures of PASOK and LAOS!

(The cost of 209/1400 AIP was slightly lower, or about 70 million from the 214.)

(The German "gifts",  which were necessary because the upgrade to the Neptune II program of 209/1200 with AIP, had failed on the OCEAN S118).

The upgrading on the OCEAN never occurred, and this is one of the reasons that they kept on postponing their delivery since September 2009. The cost until the present moment has been calculated at some 500 million euros, but defencenet said that this is something that will concern us in the future and not now.

And get this: Seven months later Evangelos Venizelos gave them 515 million euros in cash!

Unbelievable!

So the Greek state got stuck with a bill of 515 million Euros which was ultimately paid by Greek citizens, plus a further EUR 250 million in additional costs.

The obvious question is why did Venizelos do this and why did he not use this offer as a basis for negotiations in the the framework agreement?

Let us take a look at what the Germans proposed when they realized that the Neptune II project was heading towards a dead end, having already spent 60% of the total budget.

The documents below are from the CEO of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems in Hamburg, Germany.
