Earthquake Shakes Up Ierapetra, Crete



A strong earthquake shook up Ierapetra Crete early on Tuesday morning, startling residents in this popular coastal town. The quake occurred at 01:15 am and was said to have registered 4,6 on the Richter scale. According to the National Observatory of Athens the epicenter of the earthquake was said to be located 38 kilometers west of Ierapetra (in the Aegean sea), or 371 kilometers from Athens. No damages and injuries were reported.
