Getting To Know Our Olympic Athletes - Vasiliki Millousi

Hellasfrappe has decided to start a new column dedicated to Greece's Olympic Team. Let us not forget that the 2012 Olympic Games in London are only a few months away, and it would be wise to begin familiarizing ourselves with some of our athletes. For now the column can be found at the bottom of the home page in the category or labels box. Later on we will post it on the sidebar as the Olympic Games begin drawing near.

Today we focus on Vasiliki Millousi, who is a Greek artistic gymnast. Whereas she does compete in the all-around section, her strength is the balance beam, on which she earns top scores. She represented Greece at the Olympic Games in 2000. On the beam she won the European Title in 2007 and could challenge for medals in diverse events of the FIG World Cup Series. Vassiliki was also a beam finalist at the 2011 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Vasiliki also won the Beam final at North Greenwich Arena on January 13, 2012 in London, bringing the gold for Greece. Will she do it again this summer at the Olympics? Well we sure hope so. Her event score was D: 6.1 E: 8.433 Total:14.533

You can follow her blog at this address: http://vasilikimillousi.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Good luck Vassiliki, all of Hellas is with you!!!
