Tensions are increasing between Washington and Tehran. No official military force has been voiced by the American leadership as of yet, but judging by all the information that has been circulating on the news lately there is real and growing risk that these two sides could go to war... and very soon! Of course the west will say that its about Iran's advancing nuclear program and that its because Iran is threatening to wipe Israel off the map, but the rest of the world understands that its about Iran's oil reserves (amongst other things). Critics have warned that a raid by the west on this country could fail and, even if it succeeded, would spark a serious global economic crisis.
Is the US being influenced by Israel to start a war in Iran? Well Damian Lataan recently said that Israel's political elite wants to establish a Greater Israel and destroy the Palestinian nationalist movement. In his article, "The US And Israel's 'Obsession' With Iran -- The Real Reasons," Lataan writes: "Israel's real obsession is the creation of a Greater Israel and the destruction of those that prevent Israel's expansionist dreams; Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon, both of whom are supported by Iran.The stated casus belli for any Israeli/US attack on Iran will be that Iran is building a nuclear weapon with which it intends to 'wipe Israel off the map'. The 'Iran has a nuclear weapons program' and the 'wipe Israel off the map' are two memes that have gone hand in hand in the propaganda and rhetoric of Israel's Zionists and their neoconservative allies in the US and, indeed, around the world for years."
In all reality the threats to attack Iran have been going on for a long time and started in the wake of the invasion of Iraq, and from what it seems are part of a larger plan to destabilize and shift boarders and power (in oil) in the Middle East. Some even claim that the west has been planning this war since 2004 and what they are really striving for is the support of public opinion, that is why they are demonizing this country.
In our opinion if the West decides to invade Iran then this war will flare the whole Mediteranean region reaching as far as the Orient. We here at hellasfrappe seriously hope that all these so called military planners really consider their actions in this part of the world (because Greece is very close by) and because the lives of millions of people are at stake.
