Israeli F-16s and F-15 Ra'am, are expected to make their appearance in Cyprus next week and will be based at "Andreas Papandreou" airbase in Paphos, military reports said on Saturday.
From here, the Israeli fighters will attempt to gather Turkish fighter aircraft and intelligence information (ELINT) that appear to be supporting the Turkish warships that are accompanying the "Piri Reis" surveyor.
A report on defencenet said that this move is also a response to the numerous provocative flybys that have been made over the last few days off the coast of Israel from Turkish aircraft, plus its also a move that will clearly "squeeze" the Turkish Air Force (THK).
