A mysterious book of cryptic prophecies was discovered late last year at the National Library in Rome, and officials then claimed that there was evidence that it is the final work of the most famous and controversial prophet in the history of the world, Nostradamus. Are the current issues like terrorism, global warming, and a resurgence of deadly disease and natural disasters, bearing witness to the last days? And if so, do other cultures and writings around the world, including the Holy Bible, arrive at a similar conclusion to what Nostradamus suggests? Today the X-Files opens this file and asks did Nostradamus document warning signs that are so blasphemous and frightening about 2012 that they may have just been intentionally suppressed in this mysterious book?
In the Lost Book, there are images that strongly hint at future trouble for the Catholic Church, and even one image that appears to portray an assassination attempt on one of the modern era's most beloved popes. There are other images that are said to depict World War I and II, and political movements such as Communism and Fascism. Current global conflicts are also presaged, including the rise of fundamentalism, in particular the current surge of radical Islam. And there is of course, his famous prediction of the date of the final end of this world...2012...and whether that means the physical end of the world, or just a new world enlightenment (which would create an altered state of consciousness, the end of one world and the beginning of a new.) It doesn't help, however, to know that the Mayan calendar also ends in...2012.
History Channel Special: Part I
One illustration is the most troubling when decoded, as it contains an empty wheel of life, broken in a year of three solar eclipses, and an empty page in the book of life. This illustration some decoders say this points to the year 2012.
Astronomers, Cosmologists and Scientists all agree that 2012 is a very unusual year, not only because of the 26.000 year cosmic alignment, but 2012 is also a year of three rare solar eclipses. One reason many believers in Nostradamus state that he is pointing to this year, as the "end of days."

The wheel of life in this illustration also is without spokes, signifying the end of a continuing turning life cycle. This itself is scary enough for anyone who can see the hidden code inside this illustration, realizing that this does signify the end of time for humanity.
In the bottom right hand corner of the illustration are what some experts say are only "two fates." In Greek mythology, there are three fates, Clotho, who spins the thread of life, Lachesis, who allots the length of the yarn, and Antropos who cuts the final spun fabric.
In Greek and also ancient Roman mythology, the "Three Fates," symbolize all the good and evil that's woven in our destinies, which symbolizes our life cycle. In this last illustration, Clotho is missing; and obviously no more thread of life can be woven without her.
History Channel Special: Part III
This final illustration also contains the very ancient belief that all we do is written in a book of life, as human history continues to be recorded, through the wheel of life. But the blank pages shown by a wise scribe show that no more is written, or recorded at the time of the three eclipses.
The predictions of Nostradamus were in agreement with the scientist of today that the solar system will pass through the galactic plane of the Milky Way galaxy, as the earth enters its 25,800 year precession. When this happens, the gravitational wave, which exist as a flat plane along the equatorial region of the milky way sends this across any passing solar system, including Earth and the Sun, causing earthquakes in both Sun and all the planets.
In this region there are broken planets and asteroids that may cause near massive object collision with earth, but also as the solar system passes the equatorial region will the planets, including earth shifts its rotation. According to Nostradamus, when this passes, whole continents will be under water in a matter of 6-10 hours, where most of Asia will be underwater, but also other coastal regions.

The land will sink fast and responsible for most of the destruction, but during this passing the earth will lose its orbit around the sun, massive earthquakes starts from the polar shifts and gravitational waves bringing on earthquake and sinking of continents.
The spokes of wheel disappears in one of Nostradamus drawings which signifies that earth will no longer be in orbit or following cycles, and hence the disappearance of spokes. The sinking of land will also experience land underwater coming out at the same time, and will take matter of hours for a land to sink 2000 feet under the ocean much like Atlantis, which was about 2200 feet, located off the coast of Cuba.
Nostradamus predicted land sinking very quickly, solar flares, gamma radiation during the passing of the equatorial plane of the Galaxy.
According to Nostradamus, people will experience both extreme fire, heat from global warming, which technically is more like solar system warming, but this gets to the extreme as 2012 approaches, most of the polar ice caps should melt as this time frame approaches, not just rising of water level, but lands can sink or rise as polar shifts event occur. This rift is located between the zodiac sign of the Saggitarius and Scorpio. The arrows of the Saggitarius points to the dark rift, which is the gravitational waves emitting from the black hole, and incident which happens every 11,000 years, an event where the drawings of Nostradamus predicted three eclipses before this event to occur.

In the book it states that near massive objects and meteorites may occur due to the weakening of the Van Allen Belts, where people who do not experience flooding, they will experience fire and burning from solar flares and fire, where high areas are risk, and low areas at risk from flooding.
Interestingly, Nostradamus points the entry of the Age of Aquarius, after 21 December 2012. During this period major wars will escalate for resources, according to Nostradamus, between the Christians and the Muslims faith. Also, the Pope is prominent in Nostradamus lost books, but interestingly the three rings on the head of the pope, might have signifies the three rings of Power, that controls most of the world, Washington D.C., City of London, and the Vatican. All three area has the Egyptian obelisks and important high level secret society symbolism that they are indeed connected in power, that people called the New World Order, but this power is not shared with the Muslim world, China, or Russia, and hence the war, that some say is the Armageddon.

The idea of Nostradamus predicting doomsday in 2012 began when an Italian journalist, Enza Massa, discovered an ancient manuscript at the Italian National Library in Rome in 1994.
The book/manuscript, is apparently dated 1629, and entitled "Nostradamus Vatinicia Code (or as we know it now as The Lost Book of Nostradamus),". Though Nostradamus never published it, he did hand it down to his son. Later, it was donated to Pope Urban VIII. In 1994, it surfaced again, and since its rediscovery, the prophecies have been repeatedly interpreted and analyzed..
Critics point to a number of reasons that Nostradamus is not predicting doomsday. These insight include:
- As with all of Nostradamus' predictions, they are vague and open to different interpretations.
- In addition, it is said that possibly only seven percent of his predictions proved accurate.
- There is also debate with believers of whether he predicts the end of the world in 2012 or 3797.
- The prophesies also do not specify the date 2012 anywhere.
- Some say his son was the artist for the book and not Nostradamus.
One thing is for sure, critics and believers will keep the controversy over Nostradamus' predictions alive. Whether you are open to any belief in prophecy or not, Nostradamus, has uncannily described, even predicted, many events throughout time. If the year of the three eclipses is 2012, and our thread of life disappears, then Nostradamus in the pages of his lost book has forewarned us, as have the ancient Maya, when their Calendar ends on December 21st, 2012.
