New Cyprus Committee For Properties in Occupied Areas

The Council of Ministers decided on Wednesday to set up a committee to look into incentives for Greek Cypriots interested in selling or buying immovable property in the Turkish occupied areas. According to the Cyprus news network, acting Government Spokesman Victoras Papadopoulos said that this was decided in the context of efforts to address the problem created by the increasing number of Greek Cypriots who turn to the so-called immovable property commission in the northern Turkish occupied areas of the Republic for compensation for their properties.
