Greek Defense Analyst - Greece Might Allow Russia to Use its Military Bases

In an interview for Russia's RIA Novosti, Greek defense analyst Ilias Iliopoulos noted that in the interests of closer military-technical cooperation with Russia, Greece could allow the country to use of its military bases, and that this possibility may well be discussed during the Greek Defense Minister's visit to Moscow later this week.

Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos is set to arrive in Moscow for a two day visit starting Wednesday. The visit will include a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Russian experts believe that Kammenos's meeting with his Russian counterpart might include the provision of spare parts for Russian weapons systems, including the S-300 air defense system, Kornet anti-tank missiles, and Zubr-class hovercraft. Last December, the Greek Defense Ministry signed contracts with Russia on the purchase of spare parts for the Top-M1 and Osa-AKM mobile air defense systems.

Iliopoulos, a lecturer at Greece's National Defense School, welcomes Kammenos's visit, noting that in a time of growing tensions between Russia and the West, "contacts, visits, and communication between members of the European Union and NATO with Russia can help to reduce tensions."

The analyst recalls that the event, which "has great political and symbolic significance," comes on the heels of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' "historic" visit to Moscow last week.

     "The Tsipras visit held a great political importance. As for defense matters and Kammenos's visit, I believe that Greece must do everything it can to move closer to Russia on issues of defense, defense policy, technology, cooperation and defense diplomacy. Greece, as you know, is the only NATO country to which several advanced Russian defense systems were exported several years ago. The country's air defense is very largely based on Russian systems."

Iliopoulos believes that Kammenos may attempt to reach an agreement with Russia on the technical maintenance and modernization of the Russian weapons systems Greece possesses. The analyst notes that "this must be done urgently. These systems presently have serious issues, and not because of [any error from] the Russian side, but because the previous government simply used them and, under Western pressure, underestimated the importance of maintenance and modernization."

The defense expert also believes that while Greece's options are presently limited by the economic crisis, the country should do everything it can to avoid "closing this window [on defense cooperation with Russia] for good. On the contrary, the Greek side must bear in mind that Russian defense systems are Greece's best and most reliable option. And not only technically, but politically as well."

Regarding Russia's possible use of Greek military bases, Iliopoulos is optimistic.

     "And why not? 25 years have passed since the fall of communism. We must discuss seriously, rationally, and realistically the issue of Greece providing Russia with an opportunity to use Greek ground, sea and air bases, on the Aegean Sea and in the Dodecanese Islands, as well as the Ionian Sea and Corfu, the seven islands liberated by Admiral Fyodor Ushakov [during the Second World War]."

The expert notes that such an agreement would not break any of Greece's agreements with NATO, or any other international treaties.

     "No international statute prohibits the cooperation of two countries."

In fact, Iliopoulos notes, Russian-Greek defense cooperation would assist in the maintenance of global stability, including the fight against terrorism and Islamic extremism in Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East.

     "I do not think that anyone in the West would have a problem with this," the expert notes.

Ilias Iliopoulos is a lecturer at Greece's National Defense School, the country's highest defense educational institution, and a former analyst at the Greek Ministry of Defense. He is also the former Chair of the Political and Strategic Studies Department at the Baltic Defense College in Tartu, Estonia.

Tsipras talks about the restart to Greek-Russian relations

The ties between Greece and Russia can be upgraded to a new level and Greece can become a bridge between the West and Russia, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras told the TASS news agency in an interview on Tuesday, ahead of his scheduled visit to Moscow and his meeting with President Vladimir Putin on April 8.

     "We can have a substantial cooperation that will allow Greece to export its agricultural goods to the Russian Federation," Tsipras stressed.
     "You know that over the past years a blow was dealt to these relations as the previous governments in my country had not done what they could have done to avoid this senseless sanctions policy, in my opinion, amid tensions in Ukraine," he added.

     "The result of this is the embargo also on the Greek agricultural goods what has seriously damaged the Greek economy," the Greek PM noted.
His visit to Moscow aims at restarting Greek-Russian relations as "it will give the opportunity to set a new basis" for them.

According to the prime minister, Greek-Russian relations have great development prospects, especially in energy and tourism. He said that apart from the highly significant meetings with President Putin, his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev and the Patriarch of Moscow and all of Russia Kirill "I will also have the opportunity to give a lecture in one of the central universities of Moscow," which highlights "the possibility for exchanges and cooperation on an education level between Greek and Russian universities, which is also a very important aspect of consolidating our mutual relations."

Referring to the issue of sanctions, he made it clear that Greece does not back the West’s sanctions against Russia and reminded that as soon as he took office he received a message from European Council President Donald Tusk "who almost took for granted Greece’s position in favor of sanctions. "I called him and also (EU foreign policy chief) Federica Mogherini and told them:

     "Don’t think that Greece’s position is pretty much a given, the situation has changed and now there is another government in Greece. And now you should ask us before you take the decisions," he said.
     "We do not agree with sanctions. I believe that this is a road to nowhere. I support the point of view that there is a need for a dialogue and diplomacy, we should sit down at the negotiating table and find the solutions to major problems," he said.

The Greek premier stressed that the economic war is a "dead-end policy." "I’m for diplomacy," Tsipras said.

     "I believe reaching the Minsk agreements is an important achievement. I think every effort should be made to stop tensions in Ukraine," he added.

Tsipras said during his first participation in the EU summit on March 19-20 in Brussels he told the prime ministers and heads of states:

Reporter: "Tell me how do you imagine the new security architecture in Europe? Do you see it with Russia on the opposite side or with Russia in the process of a dialogue and mutual understanding?" "I received no answer from many of them,"

Tsipras said.

      "In my understanding, the answer is clear: the new European security architecture should also include Russia."

Russian ship docks in Patras for twinning with Kaliningrad

A Russian sailing ship docked in the port city of Patras (Peloponnese) on a visit leading to a twinning between the Greek port city and that of Kaliningrad, the home of the Russian Baltic fleet. The "Kruzenshtern", which was constructed at Bremerhaven in 1926 for the German commercial fleet, will remain in Patras until April 2nd.

The ship was turned over to the Soviet Union in 1946 in compensation for World War II losses. According to reports, it is 115m long, 14m wide and 7m deep and its crew consists of 60 permanent staff as well as 115 officers in training from the University of Kaliningrad.

Officials signed the twinning agreement at a ceremony held at the Patras Port Authority on Tuesday, before a monument to the Greek-Russian friendship was unveiled. The crew members, on the other, paid a visit to the Greek Orthodox Church of Agios Andreas, where they were warmly welcomed by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras and the supervising priest of the church, father Nikolaos Skiadaressis.

Lafazanis in favour of Turkish Stream pipeline - Russian natural gas to EU via Greece

Productive Reconstruction, Environment & Energy Minister Panagiotis Lafazanis on Tuesday referred to the outcome of his two-day visit to Moscow ending Monday, underlining that he is in favour of the extension of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline - planned to reach the Greek-Turkish borders - to carry Russian natural gas to Europe via Greece.

The minister clarified that the final decision will be reached on collective government level and by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who is visiting Moscow on April 8, pointing out that if the plan is approved the benefits for the country will be "from exceptional to quite exceptional."

He also announced that Russian companies will participate in the hydrocarbon exploration in the Ionian Sea and south of the island of Crete. He referred to the maritime zone delimitation based on international law, noting that this is a firm government position and will benefit both Greece and Turkey.

In regions where Turkey has no legal claim, exploration can take place within the 6 mile limit, he said.

If adopted, the natural gas pipeline plan provides that Russian natural gas will reach central Europe through FYROM and Serbia after crossing the Greek-Turkish borders. Lafazanis said that Europe needs the Russian natural gas and underlined that this pipeline should not have the fate of previous plans, like the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline and the South Stream natural gas pipeline. He also expressed opposition to Russia being placed in an "energy quarantine."

The minister stressed that if this pipeline is not built, Russia will be linked with Europe only via Germany and Europe's germanization will be further reinforced, raising obstacles to equal cooperation between countries and peoples.

He said that the extension of the pipeline will be made based on national and European legislation, underlining that "Greece has no complexes, is nobody's satellite and is not subordinate energy-wise to any major power or alliance of countries. Greece wants to exercise an independent national energy policy that will serve national interest," he said, adding that it is unthinkable and unacceptable the fact that agreements between EU states and third countries have to be checked in advance by the EU.

     "We want to develop an energy policy that will cut energy prices and the cost of energy supply in raw material," he underlined.

Referring to the talks he had in Moscow with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Garzprom's Alexey Miller, the minister said that they discussed issues concerning the natural gas supply price and the take or pay agreement, adding that the Russian side pledged that Russian companies will participate in the tender for hydrocarbon exploration in 20 offshore blocks in the Ionian Sea and south of the island of Crete.

Lafazanis said that he is against the EU embargo on Russia and asked that Greek products be exempt from the Russian embargo on EU farm products, noting that he expects a positive outcome during the prime minister's visit to the Russian capital.

He also said that the issue of Greece's financing by Russia was not raised and as regards privatizations, he pointed out that there is no question of privatization of public-run energy production companies.

ANALYSIS: The Neo-Con Attempt to Rewrite the History of World War II

After the fall of the Soviet Union, former U.S. president and one-time Cold Warrior Richard Nixon devoted the last few remaining years of his life to ensuring that Russia found its proper place in the international community. Nixon advised then-president Bill Clinton on the proper way to deal with the Russian Federation, the internationally-recognized successor state to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. One thing that Nixon would have never tolerated was the current neo-conservative penchant to deny Russia’s major role in World War II’s – known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War – victory of the Allies over Nazi Germany. Today’s leaders of the United States and their fellow-travelers in Britain, eastern Europe, and other countries would, therefore, find themselves being berated by Nixon over their failure to participate in the annual May 9 Victory Day ceremony held in Moscow.

Bush administration for providing "pathetically inadequate» assistance to Russia following the collapse of the Soviet Union, would have had little time for those in American policymaking circles who now want to financially emaciate Russia and bring it to its knees.

Among those who are pushing for increased sanctions on Russia and ignoring its significant role in winning World War II are the sons and daughters of fascist and Nazi Eastern European emigrés who arrived in the United States in the years following the war, mostly via the Central Intelligence Agency’s «Operation Paperclip» [1], to escape trials for supporting the Nazi cause in their homelands. These emigrés helped form various right-wing groups that orbited around the «Captive Nations» supra-organization that was enabled by those in the Eisenhower and succeeding administrations. Out of this constellation of fascist organizations arose the Ukrainian-American Zionist Lev Dobriansky and his daughter, former George W. Bush State Department official, Paula Dobriansky, along with the one-time supporter of the German Gestapo in Hungary, Gyorgy Schwartz, who later called himself «George Soros.» [2] Their ideological progeny can today be found in governments throughout eastern and central Europe.

Groups centered around the emigré circles in the United States, for example, the Heritage Foundation [3], the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) [4], and the Brookings Institution [5], as well as the Soros-funded Human Rights Watch, that are pushing for a re-writing of postwar history. It appears that many of these neocon and historical revisionist groups would rather mark the defeat of Nazi puppet regimes in the Baltic countries, Ukraine, Belarussia, and Bessarabia in sorrow than recognize the Soviet victory over Nazism in celebration.

Puppets of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in various central and eastern European countries are involved in a propaganda war against Russia aimed at ensuring that the May 9 celebration in Moscow has little official international participation. The effects of this propaganda war can be seen in the recent statement by Czech General Andor Šándor, the head of Czech military intelligence who retired in 2002, bemoaning large-scale Russian «spying» in Prague. This story was leaked in order to apply further political pressure on Czech President Milos Zeman, who has said he will bolt from a purported NATO «consensus» on avoiding the May 9 celebration, and fly to Moscow. The Czech opposition has already announced that it will try to de-fund in parliament Zeman’s trip to Moscow. Prague is, by nature, a flash point in Russia’s relations with the West. The Czech Republic still refuses to allow NATO troops to be based on its soil, even though Prague continues to host such anti-Russian activities as Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and various Soros-backed nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). Soros interlocutors in the European Parliament are also pressuring Serbian president Tomislav Nikolic to cancel plans to go to Moscow or risk Serbian membership in the EU.

Three former U.S. ambassadors to Ukraine, Steven Pifer, John Herbst, and William Taylor, have outrageously urged Western leaders like Britain’s Prime Minster David Cameron, French President Francois Hollande, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel (who will reportedly fly to Moscow on May 10 for a wreath laying ceremony), who have announced their decision to boycott the May 9 ceremony and military parade in Moscow, to attend a Victory in Europe Day ceremony in Kiev. These «three stooges» of American «diplomacy» wrote in an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times that «even though Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush traveled to Moscow in 1995 and 2005 for other V-E Day anniversaries», President Barack Obama should celebrate the event not in Moscow but in Kiev [6]. The ambassadors refuse to recognize that were Western leaders to observe such an event in Kiev, they would be standing alongside neo-Nazis and paleo-Nazis of every stripe, including supporters of Adolf Hitler and the Ukrainian Nazi leader and German SS enabler, Stepan Bandera.

Pifer, Herbst, and Taylor are hardly alone in calling for the sacrifice of 27 million Soviet citizens in World War II to be marked in a city where neo-Nazis and skinhead mercenaries from around Europe enjoy political and military power. Pifer works for the Brookings Institution, a major center of current anti-Russian agitprop, while Herbst was a chief facilitator of U.S. Agency for International Development/CIA support for the Orange Revolution in Kiev and the development of pro-Western mass media in Ukraine. Taylor, as the chief coordinator of U.S. government assistance to the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, worked closely with the Soros organization and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to channel funds to pro-U.S. right-wing groups in the region.

While Obama and his friends in NATO will not be in Moscow, Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who has demanded war reparations from Germany for his country, will buck the NATO boycott and join Zeman in attending the ceremony on Red Square. The leaders of Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Slovakia, and Hungary may also bolt NATO ranks and fly to Moscow for the May 9 ceremony.

In what can only be considered a diplomatic slap at the Kiev regime and its Western supporters, the leaders of the eastern Ukrainian people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine will be in the same Red Square viewing stand as the leaders from some 30 other countries, including China, India, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Serbian Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Egypt, and South Africa, a fact that will confer a semblance of de facto international recognition of their status. In addition, the leaders of the republics of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will also reportedly be present, constituting a diplomatic defeat for the authorities in Georgia who view the republics as integral parts of their state.

Meanwhile, while calling for a boycott of Moscow’s May 9 VE Day event, the leaders of the Baltic nations play host to various Nazi commemorations in their capitals. Lithuania’s President Dalia Grybauskaitė, a graduate of the Georgetown University Foreign Service School in Washington, a favorite CIA recruiting ground, does nothing to prevent annual observances at the gravesite of Lithuanian Nazi puppet leader and concentration camp builder Juozas Ambrazevicius Brazaitis, whose body was repatriated a few years ago from Putnam, Connecticut to Lithuania and reburied in Kaunas with full military honors. Estonia’s President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, a former head of the Estonian desk for the CIA-financed Radio Free Europe, was supportive of the Estonian government’s decision in 2007 to remove a Soviet victory statue Tallinn to a military base on the city’s outskirts where it now sits quite close to NATO’s cyber-warfare center. As Latvia’s leaders were joining their Baltic counterparts in championing a NATO boycott of the Moscow event, veterans and supporters of the Latvia Legion, commanded by the German Waffen SS Division during the war, recently paraded proudly through the streets of Riga in an event staged annually since 1991 [7]. Latvian President Andris Bērziņš has done nothing to thwart the Nazi ceremony in Latvia although he finds it abhorrent that any Western leader would join Russia’s leadership in Moscow to mark VE Day over Hitler. Bērziņš has long been associated with the «Stockholms Enskilda Bank», owned by the Swedish Wallenberg family and accused of collaborating during the war with Nazi Germany, earning it a spot on a blockade list of the U.S. government.

Poland’s European Council president Donald Tusk and Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski have joined their Baltic friends in trying to write Russia from the history of World War II. Polish foreign minister Grzegorz Schetyna attempted to re-write history by claiming Ukrainians, not Russians, liberated Auschwitz. Russia’s Foreign Ministry responded to Schetyna by stating, "It’s common knowledge that Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army, in which all nationalities heroically served," adding that Poland was making a "mockery" of history.

Making a mockery of history is exactly what NATO leaders are doing by pressuring leaders of countries from South Korea and Japan to Bulgaria and Austria not to send official representatives to Moscow. The action is very reminiscent of the U.S.-led and diplomatically-immature boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, a move deemed to have done more long-term harm to the Olympic movement than short-term damage to the USSR.

Greece to boost military cooperation with Russia

Greece plans to enhance its military, technical and regional security cooperation with Russia, Deputy Defense Minister Kostas Isichos told Russian news website Sputnik in an interview on Tuesday.

The minister said that Athens would benefit from increased technical support and advice on the use of Russian-made arms.

     "Then also enhancing our relationship not only in the strictly military sense, but also in the peace and cooperation we need to have in the Middle East in the Aegean, in the region which is already very volatile and very dangerous around us," Isichos was quoted as saying, mentioning conflicts in Ukraine, in the Middle East and terrorist activities closer to home.

He also claimed that better relations with Russia and other members of the BRICS alliance will help Greece play a bigger role in international affairs. BRICS comprises five of the world's biggest developing economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

     "We do have an important role to play within a multipolar world which must be viewed as a multipolar world of stability and not of instability," the defense official said.

The Russian-Greek Joint Interministerial Committee, which focuses on economic, technological, scientific and industrial cooperation, is expected to convene in 2015.

Conspiracy or Turth - Obama Meets With Top Russian Spy, Warns He Can’t Stop War

A new report from the Russian Federation Security Council (SCRF) on Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov’s recent private visit with US President Barack Obama at the White House, in Washington D.C., grimly states that America’s leader has “privately advised” President Vladimir Putin that a global war is nearing… and he “may be powerless to stop it”.

Director Bortnikov, it is important to remember, is in some Kremlin circles believed to be the third most powerful person in Russia after President Putin, along with being known as the Federations top counter intelligence commander.

As an agent of the Committee for State Security (KGB) since 1975, Director Bortnikov, over the past 40 years, ascended through the ranks of Russian intelligence and from 2004-2008 was head of the FSB’s Economic Security Service and a Deputy Director of FSB, after which he became the Director on 12 May 2008.

Reports of Director Bortnikov's travels to meet President Obama a few weeks ago, it is interesting to note, did not emerge until the FSB published a press release announcing he was already in the United States. The release specifically mentioned that Director Bortnikov had been invited by the US State Department and the White House.

Though Director Bortnikov cannot travel to EU countries or Canada because he is on their sanctions list, it is interesting to note, he is notably absent from the US list and “officially” he was in the United States for two days to attend the White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.

Director Bortnikov’s private White House visit with President Obama a few weeks ago, it should be further noted, follows a similar meeting held this past May between America’s leader and SCRF Secretary Nikolai Patrushev (known as the second most powerful person in Russia), who, likewise, has been a longtime KGB-FSB spy.

As to why President Obama has chosen over the past year to meet privately in the White House with the Federations top two spies this SCRF report doesn’t say, but it is understandable in the context of a similar crisis between Russia and the US that occurred in the early 1960’s when then President John F. Kennedy chose to use indirect backchannels with both Cuba and Moscow to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis as he did not trust his own country’s warmongers in the Pentagon and Congress.

President Obama’s choice to meet with Director Bortnikov, the “shadow CIA” global intelligence organization STRATFOR further reports, is due to the FSB Director’s knowing the ins and outs of Russia's support for separatists and intelligence on US moves in the region.

Also, STRATFOR correctly reports, Director Bortnikov is an economist by trade and understands the pressure created by Western sanctions on Russia and has the comprehensive knowledge needed to discuss all these issues in Washington.

In other words…as the Western propaganda news media continues to print stories about a possible coup d'état in Russia against President Putin, the more likely truth is that one is currently underway in the United States.

To President Obama’s “warning” to Director Bortnikov, this SCRF report says, that he may be powerless to stop a global war was further accentuated last week when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported that Minister Sergey Lavrov had endured a nearly one-hour tirade from US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland who, among other claims, “raged” that former Vice President Richard “Dick” Cheney was in charge of the United States, not President Barack Obama.

     According to this report, a “highly agitated” Secretary Nuland contacted Minister Lavrov (last week) demanding that Russia immediately order Iran to return to US custody the 4 CIA agents arrested and detained for directing ISIS terror forces in Iraq.
     Secretary Nuland, also, this report continues, “bluntly warned” Minister Lavrov that should Moscow ever again provide to France, or any other NATO nation, superior “electronic-technology”, and for the Russian air force to continue disabling US warships, she would further order the American military to “aggressively respond”.
     Most astoundingly, though, of Secretary Nuland’s “rages”, this report says, was her reply to Minister Lavrov when asked by whose authority she was speaking, and to which she replied, “Cheney gives the orders here now, not Obama, and you assholes better get used to it!”
     Important to note about Secretary Nuland, this report notes, is that she has long been one of the top tier operatives in the Bush-Clinton Criminal Syndicate working first in the Clinton administration where she was chief of staff to US Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott before moving on to serve as deputy director for former Soviet Union affairs.
     Upon President George W. Bush taking office in 2001, this report continues, Secretary Nuland served as the principal deputy foreign policy adviser to Vice President Cheney and then as US ambassador to NATO, and when President Barack Obama took office in 2009, she returned to the US State Department run by Hillary Clinton and still holds the title of Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.With President Putin, and other top political and military officials, remaining today under the “protection” of the Ministry of Defense due to fears of a first-strike nuclear launch against the Federation this coming week, a horrific plot uncovered by the FSB, the SCRF in this report notes that communications to avert total war are currently ongoing, but the outcome is not certain due to no one in the Kremlin even knowing who is in charge of the United States anymore.

To the “vulgar-criminal” undiplomatic language employed by Secretary Nuland during her tirade with Minister Lavrov, this report says, is “nothing new” as the Federal Security Services (FSB) had documented in 2014 when they released her private telephonic exchange with the US ambassador to Ukraine in which while engineering the coup in that nation she stated:

      “OK. He's now gotten both Serry and [UN Secretary General] Ban Ki-moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it and, you know, Fuck the EU.”

Equally as disturbing to Secretary Nuland’s destruction of Ukraine, which STRATFOR (aka The Shadow CIA) head George Friedman recently called “the most blatant coup in history”, has been her “coordinated actions” with her former lover and current NATO commander General Philip Breedlove whose continued lies about Russian involvement in this conflict has left Germany “stunned” and led their government at the beginning of March to label his words as “dangerous propaganda”.

What appeared to be most concerning to Secretary Nuland, however, MoFA experts say, was Moscow allowing the French navy earlier last month to equip their nuclear attack submarine Saphir with one of Russia’s revolutionary electronic warfare systems weapons, and which allowed this submarine to sink an entire US navy carrier group, including the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, in war games conducted off the coast of Florida.

To how greatly feared by Secretary Nuland, and her Bush-Clinton criminal masters, this new Russian weapons system is, this report says, can be read, in part, as related by top US defense experts who stated last year after its first use:

     “Russian Sukhoi Su -24 with the newest jamming complex paralyzed in the Black Sea the most modern American combat management system “Aegis” installed on the destroyer “USS Donald Cook”. Pavel Zolotarev, Deputy Director, Institute of USA and Canada, shares details about this version which is being actively discussed in the Russian media and by bloggers.     US destroyer “Donald Cook” with cruise missiles “Tomahawk” entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea.
      In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, “Aegis” spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm. Everything went normally, American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. And suddenly all the screens went blank. “Aegis” was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.     Apparently, all efforts to revive the “Aegis” and provide target information for the defence failed.”

To if the American people themselves are aware of who is actually running their government the (both) report (s) do not say; but with a shocking new reports detailing how these people are 58 times more likely to die at the hands of their own police forces than terrorists, their media blacking out the fact that one of their top allies in Libya has now become the ISIS commander there, and an astounding 33% of them now being jobless, one can readily ask if these people even care anymore about anything.

Conspiracy or Truth - Russia Issues Warning: “Most Dangerous Time In History Now At Hand”

A truly grim report circulating in the Kremlin on Thursday prepared by the Security Council of the Russian Federation (SCRF) warns that the Rodina (motherland) entered into its “most dangerous time in history” as it prepares to defend itself against a rapidly collapsing American empire whose vassal European Union confederation is, likewise, on the brink of outright collapse too.

Not just to this SCRF warning is the world trembling either as Lord Jacob Rothschild, of the historically prominent, and global, Rothschild banking family, on Thursday issued a similar warning by stating that the world is now mired in the most dangerous geopolitical situation since World War II.

SCRF Secretary-Director Nikolai Patrushev notes in this report that the Obama regime is now funding Russian political groups under the guise of promoting civil society, just as in the “colour revolutions” in the former Soviet Union and the Arab world that have plunged our present world into chaos, while at the same time they are using the sanctions imposed over the conflict in Ukraine as a “pretext” to inflict economic pain and stoke discontent among the populace.

Secretary-Director Patrushev further states:

     “It's clear that the White House has been counting on a sharp deterioration in Russians' standard of living and mass protests, but Russia can withstand the pressure, though, thanks to its resilience and decades of experience in combating color revolutions.”

Russian deputy defense minister Anatoly Antonov also notes in this report that NATO's activities are now many times greater than Russia's and states:

     “We've noticed that NATO member states are using the situation in southeastern Ukraine as a pretext to discard all diplomatic conventions, tricks and slogans and push forward, closer to the Russian border.”

To how strong the Obama regime is pushing the Federation towards war, this report says, is evidenced by this past week’s deployment to Ukraine by the Obama regime of US military troops and their sending into the Black Sea a fleet of NATO warships.

In response to these Obama regime war moves, this report notes, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich gravely warned the Americans and NATO that their actions now threaten Russia’s security.

Even more astounding, this report continues, the Obama regime stated its “eventual intention” to send their ground troops into Syria and actually warned that an offensive by forces of the Syrian president against ISIS rebels and their supporters (called nonsensically by the Americans as “moderate rebels”) would open the door for an American strike on Syrian government troops.

In response to the Obama regimes warning to Syria that it US forces would begin attacks, this report says, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lukashevich stated:

     “Against this background, statements from Washington that a possible offensive of Assad forces against the moderate Syrian opposition would open the door for a US attack against government forces are a matter of concern.”

This report, as context, notes that the Obama regime is “enraged” at President Putin’s upcoming visit to Iran where the “final plans” for the Iraq-Iranian-Syrian military defeat of ISIS are scheduled to be discussed.

Equally enraging the Obama regime, this report continues, was this past weeks joint Iraq-Iran military assault and encirclement on the ISIS held city of Tikrit that “took the US by surprise”, and who by the defeat of these terrorists would leave the Americans without an enemy to continue to frighten their own people with.

In response to these Obama regime aggressions, SCRF experts in this report say, President Putin has ordered an immediate deployment exercise of rocket and artillery troops and has authorized Russia's newest Su-30 multi role fighter jets, together with Su-24 attack bombers, to conduct simulated strikes against NATO’s fleet in the Black Sea.

As to how the Obama regime plans to destroy Russia, this report gravely says, they were recently revealed when secret documents were leaked detailing how the CIA-linked American company FTI Consulting, and their US intelligence operative Frank Holder, are preparing to destroy the Venezuelan government…plans so shocking they actually tell the US opposition: “violence should also be encouraged and whenever possible lead to deaths and injuries.”

These “sadistic practices” by the US against any nation that challenges them, this report says, have been long known since the 1980’s when a CIA “psychological operations” manual prepared by a CIA contractor for the Nicaraguan Contra rebels noted the value of assassinating someone on your own side to create a “martyr” for the cause, and which the Obama regime “used to perfection” in Ukraine.

And for the “true cause” of the Obama regime attacking Russia, this report concludes, is the impending economic collapse of both the US and EU as China is now promoting its currency as the new global standard, which when this happens will cease allowing the West to print their way out of the economic quagmire they’ve created for themselves.

With the American people having been lulled to sleep by their mainstream media (which is their government’s main weapon against its own people) as to how dire the global situation has become, it is no wonder that none of them know of the catastrophic fall in the Baltic Dry Index (BDI), and which exactly mirrors the market crash of 2008.
