The Ano Chora II ferry boat, which had departed from Corfu, reportedly crashed into the port of Igoumenitsa during the docking process, early on Wednesday morning (or at about 10:45 local time).
As a result, at least eleven passengers were reported to have been injured, including six children and the two teachers who were accompanying them. The same reports claim that one child, a woman and an elderly man were also immediately hospitalized for further treatment.
Aside from the damages on the boat, the crash also caused damages to one bus and five cars that were parked on the pier.
