Restoration of historic Plaka bridge technically feasible - Good news!

The restoration of the historic bridge in Plaka (northwestern Epirus) is technically feasible, Alternate Infrastructure Minister Christos Spirtzis told MEGA TV on Monday. Spirtzis noted that a team of experts was immediately dispatched to the area in order to conduct a preliminary inspection.

It should be noted that the historic Bridge of Plaka, in Tzoumerka, collapsed on Sunday as a result of torrential rains. The bridge was constructed in the 18th century, and considered one the largest single-arch bridges in the Balkan region.

(Good news. Let us hope that the government makes do on its promises)
