Baltakos' New Party Supported by Armed Forces, Police & Church

The former general secretary of the Antonis Samaras government, Panagiotis Baltakos, announced that the party he is planning to form very soon is going to be called “Rizes”, (or "roots").

Commenting on STAR tv, Baltakos stated that he is to form the party with the Armed Forces, the Police and the Church and added that Christos Zois and Vasilis Kapernaros have agreed with this move. When asked by reporters about his relationship with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Baltakos noted that they both “understand each other and there is no need for anything else”.

It should be reminded that the former general secretary of the Greek PM, who was one of Samaras’ closest aides, was forced to resign from his post after videos surfaced revealing secret conversations with members of the far right Golden Dawn party, where he spoke disparagingly about the Premier and suggested that the criminal investigation against the extreme right party was politically instigated.

After he abandoned his post from the present coalition government many newspapers and analysts have generated many reports about his future moves.

Well it looks like they won't have to speculate any longer. Baltakos has now gone hinted towards the creation of a party that would attract voters from the far right.
