The buzz of the day on the Greek blog sphere is over a report that claims that a university professor in Thessaloniki was physically attacked by a group of leftists for simply not agreeing to their ideology. According to reports, Nicos Marantzidis, a Professor at the Macedonia University, was attacked brutally attacked by three youths in a cafeteria on Tuesday afternoon because he dared to claim that he was anti-left.
At first eye witness reports claim that the youths verbally attacked him for his “anti-leftist views”, but then they proceeded with a physical attack.
The poor man was then rushed to a local hospital for treatment, after losing complete consciousness.
If this what a progressive democracy is about?
And they dare to criticize the right for being too traditional or rather too fascist?
Then what the hell is fascism?
In their world anyone who dares to voice their opinion about the Greek left should be targeted and then physically attacked, and this is democratic?
How incredibly appalling!
We here at HellasFrappe are outraged with this story. Greece's Left opposition parties may have expressed their dismay over the incident, but we all know that they polarize their voters to shun and be prejudice to any ideologies other than their own each and every day. So obviously apologizing for the incident does not suffice since they instigated it to begin with!
Shame on this country's political system for continually keeping our people divided and shame to the Leftist forces in Greece for their Nazi and fascist ways.
