New Video Promotes Athens Marathon

The Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) recently released a promo video of the renowned Athens Marathon event. The video features past and recent marathon races giving the viewer a brief history lesson of the birth of this legendary sport. In fact it traces the route of the 1896 Olympic course, starting in Marathon on the eatern coast of Attica, which we all know is the site of the Battle of Marathon of 490 B.C.E., and ends at the infamous Panathenaic Stadium in the heart of Athens.
