HERE WE GO AGAIN: Afghans Stage Protest At Syntagma for Farmakonisi Tragedy

The Afghan community in Athens has organized a demonstration outside Parliament on Syntagma Square at 5pm on Friday afternoon, in an effort to protest against the tragic death of 12 refugees off the coast of Farmakonisi a couple of weeks ago. Among other things, the protesters -most of which are illegal immigrants EMPHASIS on the word ILLEGAL- demand that the Greek and European authorities investigate the political and criminal responsibilities of those implicated and that justice be served for the victims.

In their opinion, those responsible for this tragedy are the Greek Coast Guard and that they endangered the lives of their countrymen. The Greek Coast Guard on the other has proven that the boat carrying the illegal immigrants into Greece from Turkey capsized whilst being tugged to safety.

The Afghan community, and all those Leftist organizations backing them, forget that FRONTEX, which is the European border security agency, announced that it adopted the Greek Coast Guard’s version of the events.

Read an analytical report about this case and watch a video on how human traffickers/smugglers in Turkey instruct these illegal immigrants to pierce their inflatable boats and jump into the water when the Greek Coast Guard appears. Click HERE.
