BREAKING - Gunmen Kidnap Breadmaker Karamolegos

UPDATE - Latest reports claim that Karamolegos convinced one of his kidnappers to turn himself in by claiming that authorities would have traced the latter’s mobile phone signal. One of the other kidnappers, said to be an Albanian national, was reportedely stopped at a roadblock late on Wednesday night. Reports claim that authorities are still looking for two more assailants.

Bread making king M. Karamolegos was kidnapped by unknown assailants on Wednesday morning outside of his home in Geraka (which is located on the outskirts of Athens). Mr. Karamolegos is the major shareholder of the listed "Karamolegos Bakery Industry SA" company.

According to press reports, the assailants trapped the businessman outside of his home. A report on defencenet claims that the businessman reacted and even attempted to escape once he realized that he was dealing with kidnappers, but the unscrupulous assailants caught up with him, then they physically abused him, stuffed him into the trunk of their car and drove away.

The news site also notes that bloodstains and the victims glasses were found at the point of abduction.

Greek authorities were mobilized right away.
