Greece is expected to experience adverse weather conditions on Friday with torrential rain and intense thunderstorms from West to East. Higher elevations -over 1200m- should also expect plenty of snow.

South-southeasterly winds will be strong, or 5-8 Beaufort, with gradual weakening in central Greece and the Cycladic Islands towards the evening, while temperatures will range from 4C to 17C.

In Athens, local rain will intensify into thunderstorms, with south-southeasterly winds 5 to 7 Beaufort. The weather will begin to weaken in the afternoon, while temperatures are set to average between 11C-16C.

The same weather is expected in Thessaloniki, but temperatures here are set to range between 7C-9C.
