Minister of State for the right-wing Independent Greeks party Terens Kouik confirmed his intention to resign as the party's Parliamentary spokesman, but has not elaborated on the reasons behind this decision.
According to ANA-MPA sources, Independent Greeks leader Panos Kammenos discussed Kouik's decision to resign with the party's Parliamentary group secretary Panagiotis Melas but had not yet received a letter informing him of Kouik's decision to resign. The official procedure followed in such cases requires that a letter of resignation is sent to both the secretary of the Parliamentary group and the party's president.
