BUSTED - Authorities Crack Down On Illegal Medicines Trafficking

The Greek police's Organized Crime Squad together with the financial crimes squad (SDOE) is conducting a major operation in Athens and in other cities nationwide, targeting the members of a huge network that is apparently active in, and/or engaged in the trafficking of, illegal drugs (medicines) used in assisted reproduction procedures.

Reports in Athens are saying that involved in the network are pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies as well as specific individuals. The same reports also note that a few suspects have already been questioned by authorities, while considerable quantities of the illegal medicines have also been confiscated.
