UK's Channel4 Once Again Targets Golden Dawn Party (VIDEO)

A new documentary that was broadcasted on UK's Channel4 apparently shows the racist, or fascist side to Greece, or more exactly the Golden Dawn party. The video that was shot by Konstantinos Georgousis, a student at London’s National Film and Television School, and titled “The Cleaners” follows the practices of the Golden Dawn party and focuses on a discussion between two supporters of the party who are obviously horsing around at a local cafe. The two members talk openly about beating up illegal immigrants, while one Golden Dawn member refers to migrants as "subhuman." The Greek media is making a big deal out of the video and apparently a prosecutor has initiated an investigation.
Writing about his experience of making the film, Mr Georgousis says: "I walked through every nook and cranny in the centre of Athens to find these Golden Dawn members. I was terrified that these members were proud to express their extreme ideas during campaigning openly in public. I was shocked by their hostility and by the way they treated immigrants in the Athenian squares."”
Speaking to Channel 4 News New Democracy MP Andonis Georgiadis said that the opinions expressed by Golden Dawn supporters in the documentary were not “the opinion of the majority of the Greek people.”

Deeming the exreme right party “a disgrace for our society and our democracy,” Georgiadis added that Greek society was under major pressure and that this prompted some voters to cast their ballot for Golden Dawn.
“As my country faces financial and social ruin, Golden Dawn has become the prime outlet for public anger,” noted Georgousis.
When the news story was being presented on Greek TV on Wednesday morning, Golden Dawn party spokesman Elias Kasidiaris intervened on Popi Tsapanidou's morning news show (shown on SKAI television) and asked if the reporter was "serious" for believing its content and/or making such accusations, while he left it to be understood that his party is going to take legal action against the channel 4.

Kasidiaris said that:
"A couple of journalists entered a cafe without telling anyone that they were recording (people's conversations). These are fairy tales. This whole matter is for carnivals. Show the video so that the whole world can laugh."
At the same time, Kasidiaris lashed out at Thano Tzimeros (the present leader of Dimourgia Xana) who was a guest on the news show at that moment. "Golden Dawn is not a disease, as Mr Tzimeros says but a medicine against corruption and decadence."

Before hanging up, Kasidiaris emphasized that the Golden Dawn party condemns all acts of violence, and hinted that the media should also focus on the racist attacks by foreigners against the Greeks, and not the opposite.

Obviously the Brits have targeted the Golden Dawn party because it is not the first time that they have presented such startling news. In fact it is not the first time that they have come out with a negative video and/or story about Greece and its people.

Indeed, the conversation in the documentary is startling, but any fool can see that by broadcasting an uneducated man like this they are giving a bad image of Greece to the world.

Since we are on the subject of racist and spiteful "words". Greece has heard its share from many countries around the world as well. We have been characterized as being gangsters, corrupt, lazy, and good for nothing ouzo drinkers. Others openly told us that they wanted the Acropolis as collateral, while others asked for the Parthenon, and from India several days ago Mr. Cameron even had the audacity to say that he will never allow for the return the Parthenon Marbles back to their place of origin.

Here is the controversial video, judge for yourselves if the two clowns who are expressing their views at the cafe are serious, or are just goofing around. If you experience difficulty watching the video then please click here.
