One of the British Empire’s leading spokesmen for massive depopulation, Sir David Attenborough, outdid himself in the Jan. 21 Radio Times magazine of the United Kingdom:

“We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde. Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us, and the natural world is doing it for us right now.”
As reported in various newspapers, Sir Attenborough focused in on Ethiopia to make his point, saying that there is “famine in Ethiopia; that’s what’s happening. Too many people there. They can’t support themselves -- and it’s not an inhuman thing to say.” Sir David, a Commander of the British Empire, is a leading
member of the Optimum Population Trust, an organization created in 1991, which advocates eliminating some 3-5 billion people by 2050. The OPT also works closely with Prince Philip’s World Wildlife Fund (WWF), with which it “partners” in the “Global Footprint Network” to publish a Living Planet joint report every two years.

Sir Attenborough, a “naturalist,” is particularly close to Prince Philip. On March 10, 2011, he received the annual prize of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts (RSA), of which the Royal Consort is president, directly from the latter’s hand. On that occasion, he stated:
“We now realize that the disasters that continue increasingly to afflict the natural world have one element that connects them all -- the unprecedented increase in the number of human beings on this planet.”
One might have thought that the deliberate lack of economic growth, the unbridled financial speculation of the past  decades, or the brutal policy of chaos and conflict pursued by the same British Empire throughout the world, are responsible for disasters. But, no, says Sir David, population growth is to blame. For anyone with a sense of physical economy, that thesis remains as discredited as it was at the time of Thomas Malthus.

Attenborough would likely support the revealing statement made by Prince Philip to Deutsche Presse Agentur in August 1988: “In the event I am reborn, I would like to return as a deadly virus, in order to contribute something to solve overpopulation.” - E.I.R. Strategic Alert
