Chairman of the Real Media Company -which owns the Avriani newspaper and the now-defunct Alter TV channel- looks like he will be facing trial for more than 9 million Euros in unpaid social security benefits. Andreas Kouris, 42, was apparently arrested at his home in Dionysos (northern Athens) on Thursday and released pending Friday's trial. Kouris has to now answer to charges that claim that Alter Tv owes the State Social Security Foundation (IKA) a whopping 9.17 million Euros in unpaid contributions. On his part, the Chairman of Real Media says that he is not on Alter’s board of directors and therefore cannot be considered a legal representative of the company.
