Three Children Die In Tragic Fire in Northern Greece (VIDEO)

A tragedy unfolded in the early hours of Saturday in northern Greece, when three brothers, aged 5, 7, and 15, lost their lives as a result of a fire that burned down their grandparents' house. The couple and their 6 children were spending the weekend at the father's parents' house in the village of Mesoropi, which is located 130 kilometres (80 miles) east of Thessaloniki. According to press reports, the fire started from a wood burning oven and it quickly engulfed the house. The older brother apparently died of smoke inhalation while attempting to rescue his two younger siblings, and according to initial reports the two younger children suffered a freak death when the roof collapsed on them. The children's grandparents, the parents, and three other siblings (two girls and a boy) were able to escape.
