Christmas message of Archbishop Ieronymos
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece in his Christmas message referred to the crucial and painful times of agony and uncertainty the country is going through and stressed that the people should display solidarity to their fellow human beings that are "suffering in our neighborhoods, at the workplace or out on the streets". The Archbishop said that the Greek people know how to survive in tough times by utilizing their abilities and the country's natural resources. At the same time he underlined that the Church of Greece supports spiritually and tangibly the efforts made by the people for a new beginning and called on those who are financially strong to offer their wealth to the service of their fellow human beings.
