Strange things are occurring right before our eyes in regards to former finance minister George Papakonstantinou. He is currently in the US for God knows what... and in Greece everyone is waiting for his testimony in regards to the controversial Lagarde List. The Financial Prosecutor is looking for him, the Parliamentary committee on transparency is looking for him, and Papakostantinou is no where to be found. In fact... he won't even accept calls from Greece! More precisely, on Friday, a report on dexiextrem said that the Chairman of the Committee on Institutions and Transparency was informed that Papakostantinou would be returning to Greece next week to testify. At the same time, another report on parapolitika said that Financial Crimes Prosecutor Mr. Peponis even went through the process of trying to call Papakostantinou in New York to order him to rush back as soon as possible... and would you believe it... Papakostantinou refused to answer his call! Looks like the former minister kind of pis***d off Mr. Peponis who is now expected to take further action to make sure that Papakostantinou finally answers his questions.
Oh my...
Editor's Note - You can run... but you can never hide! There there George... Here is a little song for you and your former boss G.Papandreou.... with love from HellasFrappe.
