This is particularly disturbing news since it is highly unlikely and very questionable whether or not Papandreou has briefed the present Prime Minister Antonis Samaras about this initiative as well as the remaining political parties that make up the coalition government.
"Nobody expected that the Greek debt crisis would evolve into a global crisis," Papandreou told the Japanese news agency in an interview that was conducted ahead of his trip to the Japanese capital in order to take part in the joint session of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, scheduled to begin on Thursday.
Editor's Note - The news appeared on the defencenet news agency earlier today and frankly it disturbed us. The site is very specific when it says that it is highly questionable on whether or not Papandreou briefed Samaras about this initiative and we trust its sources as well as what it says. Besides, what business does Papandreou have in Japan, and why the hell would he participate in this forum anyway? Who does he represent? Certainly not Greece. If he is there to represent himself, that is fine, but he plans to take part in this forum that is going to talk about Greek economic reform. Something doesn't stick. Why? For the extra exposure from the media? (We all know that he is working hard to rebuild his image). Or because he is up to something else?
