SYRIZA FIASCO - "Right-Wing Bombers" Are Nothing More Than "Left-Wing Terrorists!"

The comments made by SYRIZA leader at the weekend at the International Trade Fair in Thessaloniki about a so-called "right-wing" bomber in Laconia, were not particularly received well by the people of Sparti and the wider region. And this is because Laconia is not on good terms with the subject of terrorism, Laconians actually deplore such acts, and because far-left tendencies in this area of Greece are extremely rare to find. That is why the reference made by Tsipras was automatically considered as an insult to the area and its people.

More exactly, the sudden death of a "bomber" -or in all actuality a terrorist- in the area of Gytheio which the main opposition radical leftist party SYRIZA quickly characterized as an extreme "right-wing" supporter, not only made a boomerang and slapped the leftist party in its face, but it is turning into a total fiasco! Why you ask? Simple... Authorities have not discovered any evidence to support Tsipras' argument. In fact, officials say that the "bomber", would died while attempting to connect an explosive device, is believed to be linked to the extreme leftist organization "The Conspiracy of Cells of Fire" (Synomosia Ton Pirinon Tis Fotias).

Tsipras had said he was convinced that these acts stem from extreme right-wing parties (letting it to be understood that it might be the Golden Dawn party), who he characterized as "terrorists", and he demanded that Greek security officials investigate the matter right away. But Tsipras did not stop there... he also said something else which was more horrifying. He said that these so-called extremists (which are proving now to be far-leftists) are involved in a scheme to destabilize Greece.

That is why the case is now in the hands of State security officials and Greece's Counter-Terrorism Agency. A report on defencenet quoted police officials as saying that the individuals involved in this particular case are suspected to be linked to the extreme left-wing terrorist organization titled the "Conspiracy of Cells of Fire "!

Authorities do not believe that the case is associated in anyway with right-wing organizations, because the evidence at their disposal proves otherwise. A senior security official also told defencenet that they had no evidence on the involvement of members of the extra-parliamentary right from the beginning but they are nonetheless obligated to investigate all the elements of this case.

The history behind the investigation concerns an explosion that occurred on the morning of Friday, August 31, from an incendiary device on Oraia Eleni Street, in Sparti. The person transporting the explosive device (the bomber) -which apparently consisted of gas canisters, batteries and other materials- was a 38 year old cafeteria employee from Peristeri and Agia Laconia. He died several days ago in Athens after suffering multiple burns from the blast.

Gas canisters are a characteristic element of action by far-left terrorist organizations such as Sechta and Conspiracy of Cells of Fire and this is probably one of the reasons why the police believe that they were involved.

The story gets better. Following the blast, police officials set out on an all-out investigation and focused their attention on a 34 year old friend of the deceased who apparently lives in Kipseli (Athens) and works at a warehouse in Lykovrysi, following a tip from a female friend of the 38-year old "bomber". And shockingly, when authorities raided his home in Gythio they shockingly uncovered an entire arsenal!

A report in the "To Vima" newspaper, focusing on the polie department's findings, said that officials found two double-barreled shotguns as well as two other armed weapons, two radios, face hoods and 61 conical containers full of explosive substances that are commonly used in fireworks (so-called "quads"). The material, said the same report, has been used in the past by "urban guerrilla" organizations such as the "Conspiracy of Cells of Fire." At the same time police authorities discovered 796 crackers and a large number of bullets from cartridge guns.

What is now even more horrifying and is certainly being investigated further by security officials, is that they also stumbled on evidence that points to the manufacturing of explosive devices.

As noted in the police report (published in the "To Vima" newspaper), ten makeshift devices were found all of which include two cylindrical pieces of wood, three units of wire, a piece of black duct tape and a significant amount of transparent solid material (suspected to be glue or melt). The report also said officials found many wires with on-off switches, the ends of which were built into various plastic bottles. They also apparently discovered a plastic watch that was connected with wires, as well as a remote control device which was wrapped with duct tape, contained four switches and had more wiring on it as well!

Following all this obviously incriminating evidence, the 34-year old was called to testify by the magistrates of Laconia and following his testimony he was released on bail.

In the meantime, police officials are trying to link the deceased 38-year old to four arson attacks that occurred over the last few months in the area of Gythio because they are convinced that far-leftist groups were involved. The first three attacks occurred on the morning of November 3, 2011 when explosive devices were placed in front of two ATM machines (bank of Piraeus and National Bank) while the third was set at the Court of Gythio. The fourth arson attack took place in the early morning hours of August 20, 2012 in a residential courtyard in the area of Mavrovouni Gythio.

Luckily no major damages and/or injuries were reported after the explosions, but the same sort of explosive device was also used in an attack against a police vehicle in Gythio. Following the blast, authorities found a handwritten note threatening local police authorities, and it was quickly documented as evidence. The same note is now being examined by handwriting experts to see if it is the same writing of the deceased 38-year old bomber.

And if that wasn't enough... reports are now also claiming that police officials are now investigating broader left-wing activity in the southern Peloponnese as well as in Athens. (Article in Greek - defencenet)

Editor's Note - Our country and its people refuse to be terrorized from fanatics. Thank God we have a competent police force, even if "leftists" always try and portray them as being totally incompetent. We cannot live in such terror and anarchy. We refuse to. We want to feel secure. We trust our State security officials and hope that their investigation is a success. We also want to thank defencenet for producing amazing articles that keep us on our toes day in and day out and give us an overall awareness about what is really going on around the country! Bravo Paidia.
