The Golden Dawn party lashed out at the main opposition (radical left) SYRIZA party on Friday on the issue of illegal immigrants advising them to change their title to the PASOK - or the Pakistani Socialist Party! Speaking on the behalf of the Golden Dawn Party, party spokesman Elias Kassidiaris called on the radical left party, and the state to forbid gatherings and protests organized by the illegal immigrants.
At the same time, Kassidiaris also slammed New Democracy MP Adonis Georgiadis because the latter had the audacity to point the finger at a Golden Dawn MP in some clashes that occurred in Corinth several days ago. The clash broke out when supporters of the Golden Dawn party attempted to prevent police officials from detaining over 400 immigrants in the grounds of an army camp in Corinth.
The illegal immigrants were escorted there under the operation "Xenios Zeus campaign" which has as its aim to tackle the issue of illegal immigration. Approximately 11,000 migrants have been detained so far since the campaign began in early August and more than 2,000 arrests have been made.
Reports said that Golden Dawn MP Efstathios Boukouras and dozens of the party’s supporters protested the transfer of the detained migrants to the camp, which is ACTIVE.
Right away GD released a statement saying that it opposed military facilities being turned into “tourism centers for illegal immigrants.”
Meanwhile, the mayor of Corinth, Alekos Pnevmatikos, held a municipal council meeting to discuss the matter. Unconfirmed reports on Friday were saying that the Corinth Municipality cut off the camp’s water supply and did not even collect its garbage.
That is why Kassidiaris lashed out at Georgiadis on Friday and sent a message to all concerned that the Golden Dawn party will continue to protest against what it deems illegal, and against Greek interests even though it knows that it will be heavily criticized. "The conservative MPs should be advised that such actions will be repeated in the future, and not by 10 people, but by hundreds of people and the entire parliamentary group," said Kassidiaris.
He added that if the state wanted to ban his party's gatherings, then it also has to ban the gatherings of foreigners.
He is right.
There is no righteous and unrighteous in Greek society.
Finally he then advised Minister of Public Order Mr. Dendias to finally arrest the criminals and terrorists carrying Kalashnikovs that have been terrorizing and looting citizens across the country, instead of interpreting the Constitution in the way he sees fit.
