Arson Suspect Appears Before Prosecutor For Megalopolis Wildfire (VIDEO)

A 45-year-old local man appeared before a Tripolis prosecutor on Friday on charges of arson due to negligence. The blaze, in Megalopolis caused widespread destruction to forest land and olive groves as well as farmhouses and homes of non-permanent residents, while three people were injured -- two locals with severe burns and a fireman, who has been hospitalized with respiratory problems. Firefighters are still worried over a newer front that broke out at the Megalopolis village of Rapsommati and that headed towards the village of Mallota, although the other fronts were receding.
