A really bizarre incidence happened in Rhodes at the weekend. According to reports, a 38-year-old German national was arrested by security police at noon Sunday while illegally photographing the installations of the old Maritsa airport on the island of Rhodes.
The reports said that the unidentified man had trespassed the airport from the southern side and was literally snapping photos of the installations. He was handed over by airport security to local police authorities who are now conducting a preliminary investigation. (Source in Greek - real.gr )
Editor's Note - This is an alarming story. And thank God Greek officials acted quickly and this man was arrested because there is a difference between taking a casual photo at an airport and conducting surveillance. It is going to be interesting to see what the investigative report will fish out.
