Barnabas to Loverdos: You Are a Dealer For Corporate Interests (VIDEO)

The shortages in medicines was the focus of an electrifying interview on Tuesday morning's news show on SKAI channel. Addressing the issue, President of Hospital Doctors Dimitris Varnavas said the problems have surfaced because of the incompetency of former Health Minister (under the PASOK government) Andreas Loverdos who instead of doing his job correctly rather acted as a dealer (or broker) for private (corporate) interests. Loverdos, who was watching the show, decided to call in and intervene. And all hell broke loose. Aside from the screaming and hollering, Loverdos called him "anandros" -which means that he is not man enough- and argued that the Barnabas was a coward, a liar, pretending to be a doctor, a slanderer and a member of SYRIZA (meaning that Varnavas was saying all this to get PASOK voters to side with SYRIZA). On his part, Varnavas said he was the worst minister that served in this ministry and that he is solely responsible for destroying the national health care system. Loverdos challenged him to publicly name the so called "interests" he is serving, and to apologize for saying what he said, but Varnavas did not do so. The discussion is expected to continue on Wednesday.
