Filled Under: BALKANS, TURKEY
In an obvious attack towards Greece, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Sunday that Turkey (as well as he) is a great and sincere friend to FYROM, but that he personally also feels like a "FYROManian"!
Speaking at an event which was organized by the FYROManian Diaspora in Chicago, on the sidelines of the NATO summit, and in the presence of the President of Skopje Georgi Ivanov, Davutoglu assured FYROM officials that Ankara will continue to defend Skopje's interests. He also said that FYROM should join NATO under what he said was its so called constitutional name, which will now be used by Turkey.
