Saudi Prince shows interest in Panathinaikos

According to the latest sports buzz, Prince Sultan bin Nasser Al-Farhan Al-Saud, the owner of one of the largest construction companies in Saudi Arabia, has tabled on offer to buy the controlling stake in the Greek football giant Panathinaikos.

The team has been up for grabs for over a week and his proposal, as expressed by his representative Vlassis Tsakas at the club’s board meeting on Monday, provides for an immediate 20-million-euro share capital increase.

At the same time it also provides some 50 million euros for the club’s operation and transfers for next summer and a 150-million-euro project for the construction of a new 48,000-seat stadium for the club set to be completed by the Prince’s own company!
